THE KENTUCKY HIGH SCHOOL HOCKEY LEAGUE (KHSHL)

 

Past Champions and History

The KHSHL's first season was 2000-01 and with one exception there has been a State Tournament every year. In 2002, the league disbanded and no tournament was held.  (Trinity was in first place in the standings when the league stopped play but no formal champion was named.) 

(As an aside it is interesting to note that for the last four years, coming into the 2010 Tournament,  the Champion has NOT been a team that uses the rink that is hosting that year's tournament as their home rink.  That is to say,  in 2005 in Lexington,  Trinity won the title.  In 2006,  in Louisville, Henry Clay won the crown.  Back in Lexington for 2007,  once again Trinity won the trophy, and in 2008, Lexington Catholic went into Louisville and took away the honor. Last year, in Lexington, Oldham County won the title so the trend has continued.)
